Loreal says: Swiftly dissolving all traces of make up, the 'micellar' solution acts like a purifying magnet on the skin's surface to capture and draw out excess oil and impurities rather than spreading them around your face like some wipes can.
Sounds really good don't you think? As you can see I have use it for some days now and while it is an absolute great eye make up remover that removes all traces of mascara and liner, I wouldn't use it to remove my foundation with. A creamy cleanser like Liz Earls Cleanse And Polish would do a better job..
Cream cleansers are just so much better to remove heavy make up and liquid foundations especially when you use them with a warm muslin cloth to remove make up and exfoliate the skin.
The Loreal Micellar Solution feels more like water and doesn't give a thorough cleanse as other cleansers would do.
However this makes for a perfect mascara and eye make up remover, I just spritz a little on a cotton pad and press it on to my eye lids, hold it for 10 seconds and then wipe all the eye make up away.
It doesn't feel greasy nor does it hurt the eyes so in my opinion this is perfect.
Some of the You Tuber Gurus have compared it to Bioderma which I have not tried out yet but I can definitely see a comparison.
As for the claim that it unclogs pores, I can not really say anything other that it dosen't have any ingredience that would support that claim.
Have you tried the Loreal Micellar Solution, Bioderma or other similar make up removers? I would be interessted about your opinion.

For me they are very similar, but Bioderma makes your skin feel so unbelievably clean and fresh and I also prefer the Bioderma packaging since it's easier to dispense what you need onto cotton. So they're both great but personally I find Bioderma just that little bit better. XX

ReplyDeleteI love the L'Oreal 3 in 1 it is the best & cheapest make up remover I've used. It doesn't make my skin oily or give me breakouts as my skin is very sensitive. I do use it to take of my foundation but I normally only have on bb cream or a tinted moisturizer so I'm not sure how it would work with a heavier foundation but it certainly does a great job on my skin.

Yeah I think you are right you could use it to take of a bb cream or tinted moisturizer.The good think is that it tones at the same time.

DeleteI use this to remove the bulk of my foundation then finish off with cleanse and polish. I don't feel like my face is clean if I just use cleanse and polish first :(
