Clarins Radiance Plus Golden Glow Booster

Thursday, 10 April 2014

I have to admit that when it comes to self tanning I am normally not that into slapping on some cream or mousse and smelling a bit odd just for the sake of looking tanned. I normally just reach for my bronzer and I am good to go. But coming into spring this year and looking the pastiest I have been in a long time, I wanted something different that would help inject a little bit of life back into my face.

First time I heard about the Clarins Radiance Plus Golden Glow Booster was over on Ghostparties. Kate was saying that she, like me never fake tans but liked this because it gave her a natural boots to her complexion and that most of the Clarins tanning products never leave you orange but give you that just back from your holiday glow! That's how she convinced me to go and get it too.

And I am happy I did! The way this self tanner works is by adding 1-2 drops to your daily moisturizer, mix it together in the palm of your hands and then apply to your face like any normal moisturizer.
The best thing about using a glow concentrate like this is that its up to you how much tan you want to have on your face, I started of with 2 drops a day and quickly got to see some good results and now only use 1 drop to keep my complexion.
And the other good thing is that I can use it with any moisturizer I like. If you have sensitive skin like me, it can be difficult to find a tanning lotion that is sensitive enough to put on your face. With this you need not to worry if it can break you out as you still use your regular moisturizer that works for your skin - and with this there is no orange tinge insight.

It comes in a small 15ml bottle that I am sure will last me well enough until next summer and as I only be using it for summer. As for the smell, well it does have a little bit of fake tan smell to it but nothing like other people would pick up on. Most likely even you won't even smell it most of the time!

To me this is a fabulous unique product that I really urge you to try if you like me want to get a little bit of glow into your skin and look like you been super healthy! Who doesn't want that for Summer?!

Skincare And Make Up Haul

Monday, 7 April 2014

March was the month of my birthday and what is a girl suppose to do when she gets some birthday money? Go shopping, right! So I thought I would show you what I got this last month instead of doing a monthly favourite roundup as not much has changed there.

First up is the Clarins HydraQuench Cream a daily moisturizer that as the name suggests, promises to keep your skin hydated throughout the day. I wasn't meant to buy this new moisturizer as I still have one on the go but lately I can not go to town without stopping by on a Clarins counter.

And that brings me on to my next buy the Clarins Radiance Plus Golden Glow Booster. The lady at the counter told me casually that clarins has won many awards lately for their tanning products and me having heard only praises for this face tanner had to give in and try it out for myself. You are meant to put a little drop of this into your daily moisturizer and it will gradually give you a natural glow or two drops if you like your tan more intense.

Last one on the skincare agenda is the Ren Claryfying Toner for combination skin. Another toner with exfoliating properties. This is the kind of toners that I like at the moment as they seem to keep my skin in check!

On to make up next and as you can see I have been developing a love for soft pink lipsticks, instead of buying just one I had to have three and all of them are from Revlon. The first two are the Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in110 Croquette and 210 Unapologetic (matte). The matte version s quite intense and I can see myself reaching for it on a night out where as the glossy balm is more of an everyday lippy!
The third one of the bunch is Revlons Colourstay Ultimate Suede lipstick in the colour 020 Front Row. Now this lipstick I am still kind of on the fence about because when I bought it I absolutely loved the colour ( it was exactly what I had in mind colour wise) but this lipsticks looks for some reason not that great on. It tends to stick to any dry bits and starts looking a bit odd after a while. What a shame!! I hate when you have high hopes for a product and then lets you down!

But this did definitely not happen with the new mascara that I bought that same day. I am talking about the famous Maybelline Falsies Mascara. Until now I never really got my hands on this mascara but I can see it become a firm favourite in my collection and why everybody else is been going on about it. It has the perfect consistency (not too wet or dry) and the brush makes applying mascara a dream.

Well that's it for now. This last month I did go a bit on a spender and will have to restrain form buying anything new for a while. This often happens to me, one month I am super good and then the next everything goes out of the window, UPS!

Flannel VS Muslin Cloth

Friday, 21 March 2014

I think the first time I heard of using a cloth with a cream cleanser was a few year back when I first got into taking my skin care more serious. Back then there was a big hype about the Liz Earl Cleans and Polish and everybody swore by using a hot muslin cloth with a cleanser to polish off any make up and also exfoliate the skin at the same time. Its funny because at that time I used to think that that was a genius idea but then I thought about it and remembered that my grandma has always loved using her flannel for her face. Yes maybe the idea of using it with a cleanser is new but not using a good old wash cloth.
So if its good enough for my granny, it must be good for me too!

But then there is the question of which one is better flannel or muslin?
Well I like them both for different reasons!!

MUSLIN CLOTH
Is a thin loosely woven cotton cloth that comes in all shapes and sizes and provides a gentle way of exfoliation.
They only need a little water to soak in and work perfect with a cream cleansers. The best way to use your muslin cloth is by soaking it in hot water and then rubbing off your cleanser with the cloth in circular motions.
The light exfoliation that you get with a muslin can really help with your complexion and that's why I love to use mine in the morning. There is nothing better than coming out of the shower with a freshly cleansed face that feels clean and energised.

FLANNEL
Is a super soft, thick wash cloth that looks the same as a towel and they normally come in a square shape design. They are easy to get (I got mine in TK Maxx but any shop with a bathroom section will have them also) and are the best thing to give your face a deep clean. I like to use mine in the evening when I get in from work. First I apply my cleanser onto my face and let hot water run over my wash cloth, wringing out the excess water, I then wipe away all the dirt and make up from the day.
I do the whole process again and I am left with super clean skin that feels pampered and ready for the next step.
Sometimes when I feel like I need a little pick me up I like to leave the warm cloth on my face so that all the pores can open. I love the feeling of warmth from the cloth on my skin, it almost feels like a mini facial.

That's why I like to use them at night, not only do they give you a really good clean but they also make you feel relaxed and calm. Perfect way to end the day!!
But don't forget to but them in the wash each time you used them, I mean you wouldn't but anything dirty on your face at any other time or would you?

So I guess next time I see my grandma doing something I mustn't think its just something old school she is doing, maybe I should take her advice instead and copy!!

Are you using any kind of cloth to remove your make up, I would love to hear your thoughts!!

Monthly Empties

Monday, 17 March 2014

Well this is the time again where I can show you how good I have been and what I have used up until the last drop!!
I think its easy to see that I have been really loving my skincare over the last month or so. There are two cleansers, a moisturizer, a serum and I even managed to empty my hand creme ( normally I forget to use it after about a week). And it doesn't look like I am going to stop buying skincare any time soon. Ever since I discovered the Clarins Lotus Oil I have been fascinated with what else I can do to help my skin improve.
Like I have said before I have never been really into skincare (more of a make up kind of gal) but so far I am enjoying the pampering at night and the seeing results in the morning.

Anyway lets have a look what I have been using!

First up is the Clinique Take The Day Off Balm Cleanser. This is a brilliant cleanser if you are after a more affordable cleanser. Most of the balm cleansers can be quite expensive and can also have a lot of perfume in them but not the Clinique one. It's a real gem especially for girls with sensitive skin. Yes it doesn't feel as luxurious as some others do but it really gets the job done (even removes waterproof mascara). And when it comes down to it that's all I really want from a cleanser!

Another Clinique product that I was using the last month was the Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus. This claims to erase like a laser fine lines and wrinkles and also freshen up you complexion. While I don't think it has done much for my fine lines it did however help with my breakouts and complexion. If I felt like I had a spot coming on I used this at night and the next day the swelling was down and the spot was on its way out! As for repurchasing it. I would say that there are better serums out there like the Estee Lauder Night Advance Repair Serum so I would rather buy that one.

Next up is a cleanser that I have been using for years on and off. The La Roche Posay Toleriane Cleanser is one that I always like to come back to as its easy to get hold of, doesn't cost a lot and does a really good job removing my make up. Again it's for us girls with sensitive skin with no parbens or fragrance added. A perfect cleanser if you have sensitive skin and are on a budget!

When it comes to moistuizer I don't really make a big fuss. Maybe its because I still haven't found one that has made a huge difference. The Vichy Normaderm Moistuizer is a good one to use if you have oily skin as it feels super light and has salicylic acid in it. Only problem is that it doesn't have any spf in it and that's something I really look for in a moistuizer.

Do you hate the feeling of greasy hands after applying your hand cream. Yes me too but the Garnier Intensive 7 Day Hand Cream doesn't feel at all like that. That's probably why I have been sticking with applying it regular and going though it quite quickly. It keeps you hand moisturized and also makes my nails look nice and nourished. A definite repurchase!

Hair wise I have been sadly running out of the Kerastase Cristaliste Shampoo. I have to say that I really enjoyed using this shampoo. Its really good for fine haired people who want a shampoo that is not too striping on their hair and also gives a lovely shine. I will buy it in the full size as its a nice shampoo to have in my stash!

Lastly is the only make up product and its a mascara. The one I was using is the Loreal Volume Million Lash Mascara. When I bought it I was hoping that this would make my lashes look thicker and fuller but maybe I understood the volume wrong. Because it really is a good mascara if you have short lashes and you are looking for lenght. But I really had to build it up quite a bit to get the results I was after.
Do you know of a good mascara that makes you lashes thicker? I would love to know?

So that is it, now I can give myself a pat on the back and keep on shopping for new thing!!

Two That Will Make Your Skin Glow

Friday, 14 March 2014

If you love pampering your skin with masks then you would have heard about Origins! Not only do they have a huge variety of masks to suit every skin type but they also are 100% natural.
And the two that stand out the most are the Origins Clear Improvement and the Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask.
Both of them are really good by them self and offer great results but the magic happens when you use them together! I am talking, glowing and plump skin when you wake up in the morning and a no need of wearing make up for the day (maybe just a light cc cream or a little bit of concealer but that is it).

Most of the time I like to do this little treat on a Saturday or Sunday night when I have enough time to relax and pamper my skin. I firstly start of with cleansing my skin and prepping it for the charcoal mask. I like to use a soft hot flannel cloth with my cleanser so that my pores can open and the charcoal mask can work its best sucking out all the grime and dirt. Leave on for 20 minutes and scare somebody with you face! ;-)

Then you want to use your hot flannel again and wash away the mask. The next step is get some more moisture into your skin so that you will not only look clean and bright from the charcoal mask but also plump and radiant. And that's when the second mask comes in. Luckily this one is an overnight one so all that is left to do now is to slap it on and go to sleep.

I guaranty you you will wake up with amazing skin that people will notice and compliment you one. This is a pair that really can make the difference!

Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel

Wednesday, 26 February 2014

Another Cleanser, I know but I can't seem to stop myself from trying out new ones. There are so many good cleansers out there at the moment that its hard to say no. One of a much raved about cleanser is the OSKIA Renaissance Cleansing Gel.
Normally I would shy away of any gel formulated cleanser but this one is different. Its quite odd because it looks like any other gel cleanser but when you massage it onto your skin it becomes a lovely luxurious oil that melts into your skin. It is super gentle so that you can even use over eyes without giving you any nasty stinging feeling. Make up is removed effortlessly and after a double cleans, there will be no trace of make up left on your face ( the toner is the prove of that).

What I like about this cleanser is that it comes in a tube. Its super easy to control how much you use ( one pump is enough) so there will be no waisting products. Not like other cleansing balms that come in a jar or tub.
But what is most impressive is the ingredients! Its almost like skincare but in a cleanser. It has vitamin A,C, E that can really help with brigthening your skin and improves the appearance of sun damage, pumpkin enzymes to remove any dead skin cells and help with skin cell renewal and chamomile and rose to soothe the skin and nourish.

To me this all sounds amazing and I have to say that it does what it says on the tin (tube)! My skin feels nourished and clean with a slight glow to it. You know how much I liked the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleanser (link here) but this one is definitely the winner of the two. The ingredients to the talking and with only using very little for a big effect, I can see this lasting me for quite some time.

The only down side to this cleanser has to be the price. Its £32.50 which is quite a lot for a cleanser but I still think it is worth the money. And you are in luck OSKIA are giving you a £10 discount with your first order so this is the perfect time to go and try it out yourself! Just enter WELCOME when you check out online! You won't be disappointed!!

Clarins Lotus Face Oil /First Impressions

Friday, 21 February 2014

I recently had a little bit of a skincare revolution or AHA moment when I read Caroline Hirons blog on what she uses on her skin. If you don't know who she is then where have you been? She is a renowned beauty insider that has worked with over 100 beauty brands over the years and knows a thing or two about skincare and ingredients. If you want to know more about skincare then check out her blog, I guarantee you will find some good advice on her site. link here

That's exactly what happened when I got stuck on her site and found out what I should and what I shouldn't be doing with my acne prone skin.
One of the main things that struck me was that she recommended a face oil made from essential oils. I always thought that an oil would clog my pores and even if it didn't clog would not do much of a difference. Boy was I wrong. It turns out that that's exactly what my skin has been crying out for, some hydration.
What I have been doing wrong all the time was thinking that I need light creams and moisturizers that don't clog my pores to get hydration but with using deep cleansers and detoxifying mask my skin was getting a bit dry and the light moisturizer wasn't quite enough anymore. My skin was making more oil and I got more spots. Sometimes my skin was just fine and I thought I was doing the right thing but then a week later it would look all spotty again. So I was kind of giving up on skin care and thought that I would have to life with the fact that my skin would never be great again.

Then came along this little gem, the Clarins Lotus Face Treatment Oil. Now I must admit that I took a little leap of faith and trusted Caroline blind heartedly on buying this oil but I am so glad I did. Normally it takes a while for skincare to show its true effects but not with this one, I saw results the next day. My skin looked smooth and even, fully hydrated (juicy and plump) and the best think is that the spots and pimples are disappearing. This is the best thing that has happened to my skin in a long time and I can't wait to see the full affects in a month time. I have been using it for two weeks now, so far I had not had a new spot since ( that's unheard of for my skin) and my skin looks its best its ever been.

I can't tell you how happy this has made me!! It really boosts my confidence and I am looking forward to the days when I don't have to spend hours concealing my acne or can just go out of the house make up free.

BACK TO THE OLD

Wednesday, 12 February 2014

Liz Earle!! This is where my love for skin care and face cleansers began. I remember trying this for the first time and being amazed how soft and clean my face felt. It was just pure love at first cleanse!!
I loved the smell, how creamy and luxurious it felt on my skin and what a good job it did cleansing my face, not to mentions the affordable price at 13.25 for a 100ml tube. That's exactly why I stuck with this cleanser for over a year and back then would not even dream of  buying anything else.
But as a beauty addict there are eventually always new products to be tried and tested and in the process  I forgot about the old favourite of mine.

So I was really delighted when a friend gave me a little Liz Earle Travel Kit as a present a while back. I thought I would fall in love with it again but this time I didn't to be honest.
I can't quite put my finger on it why but I think over the years I have tried so many cleansers in all their different formulars that I am not that impressed with it anymore.
The things that I loved so much the first time around seem to annoy me now, like the heavy smell of herbs and flowers. I know its an all natural product and there are no nasty ingediens in it but I found that my skin still doesn't like scents from some natural plants and herb extracts and can break out.  And I am not talking of just a spot or two here and there no it can really get nasty with big under the skin cysts and lots of congestion around the chin area. So I like to stay clear of scented cleansers just to be precocious.

Another thing that I didn't like this time was that it left a slight film of cream on my face. I didn't mind it so much when I first used it but after just using the Clinique Take The Day Off Balm (review here) I really noticed the difference. The Clinique one left my skin nourished and  moisturised without any residue where as the Liz Earle one felt like there was some cream on my face. Now this might be a good thing if you have dry skin but my skin is so sensitive and oily in general that I don't like the feeling of something still left on my face.

Moving on to the toner now and I have to say that I still like it despite the fact that its also quite heavy on the scent. I like that it leaves my skin fresh and helps close my pores but thinking about what some of the new toners with glycolic acid can do for my acne scared face I have to say that I prefer them. I think if you tried an exfoliating toner there is no turning back from them. They can really make a difference in you skin tones texture and how your make up will look on you.

Sorry Liz Earle, while I still think your products are lovely and all I do think that there are much better products out there now. I would love to see her bring out a new cleanser ( maybe a balm) and some more advanced toners too.

GOOD NIGHT SLEEP ESSENTIALS

Wednesday, 5 February 2014

February nights can be a quite dull and blah. For me there is not much going on and feelings can get a bit low. So a good relaxing night time bath can do the trick to perk me up, even if it only last for a while. That's why I have made it a habit to have a bath about 3 times a week.
There is just something so soothing to the soul when you submit your body into super hot steaming water that smells of Lavender.
Pure bliss, right?

One of the things I have rediscovered are bath salts. I used to love the feeling of poring bath salt into the water and get that prickling feeling but then I discovered bath oils and how rich they can smell and stuck with them for a while. Until I saw some new Lavender Bath Salts that Avon are doing now. It sounded just like my thing as I love Lavender so much so I had to give it a try. And gosh is this nice. The smell is just so relaxing and makes any bad day happenings go away.

From the same Avon Planet Spa Sleep Serenity Line comes a pillow spray that reminds me of the This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray that I have had my eyes on for some time.
While it doesn't smell exactly like the This Works one because of its Chamomile content, I still think its a great alternative to it. Its only a fraction of the price (£4,50 instead of £16 for the This Works one) and really does the trick into wanting to bury your head into your pillow and close your eyes.
Lavender and me are like the best friends ever and I could never get tired of smelling it.

One more thing I like to do in the evening after I come out of my bath its to put on a good deep cleansing clay mud mask. I have leaned the trick that its best to put on a clay mask like the Origins Clear Improvements Mask when your taking a hot bath or shower and your pores are open. As the mask dries on your face you can really feel how it sucks out all the dirt and gunk that can block your pores. And the Origins one has to be the best clay mask that I have tried yet. It does a brilliant job cleaning my face and doesn't leave my skin dry as some other clay mask can do.

I hope you liked my little bath time routine, I would be really interested what works for you to make your evening stress free or if you also have a little  bed time routine going?

CLINIQUE TAKE THE DAY OFF CLEANSING BALM

Thursday, 30 January 2014

I do love a good cleanser, there is nothing better than taking the grime and dirt of the day off with a nice hot cloth and a creamy cleanser. But I also can be very picky when it comes to them. I have stayed clear of the cleansing balms for a while now mostly down to the fact that a lot of them are heavy scented with perfume to give you that luxurious feel. The trouble is, my skin hates perfume and almost 99%  breaks out when I use something with it in it.

But not so with the Clinique Cleansing Balm. This one is 100% fragrance free and makes cleansing my face super easy and hassle free. I like to use it mostly in the evening to take of all my make up and because its a lightweight oil based balm, it dissolves and breaks down any sort of stubborn mascara or full coverage foundation. I often do a double cleans and use a little water with it, when you add the water it becomes  a silky liquid oil and with a hot cloth cleans deep into the pores so that even when you swipe over your toner there will be no make up left on your cotton pad.

If I wasn't always on the hunt for the next product I can easily say that this would be my staple cleanser of choice. I even have been thinking of repurchasing it again (that's not very much like me), that how much I like it. It might not be the most luxurious cleanser out there but that's why my skin probably loved this so much. It left my skin clean and nourished without drying it out and not breakout in sight. What else can you ask for from a cleanser?

Have you got a cleanser at the moment that you are very impressed by?? Leave me a comment, I would love to know!

ORIGINS MASK MARVELS

Tuesday, 26 November 2013

Lately I have been trying to look a little bit more after my skin and whats not better that a mask, when trying to get perfect skin.
And since I have never tried any of Origins products I though it would be a good idea to start with the mask kit that they are doing for Christmas. I love these little packs of travel size products, I think they are the perfect way of trying out products without the heavy price tag of a full size. It can be a little bit dangerous for me to not get lured in with all these Christmas offer on every counter but hey so far so good.

The Mask Marvel Kit comes with three 75ml tubes of the bestselling Origins mask.

Clear Improvement Mask
Its a lovely Charcoal and White China clay mask that can really help with acne prone skin. It sucks up all the nasty stuff that can block your skin and acts like a purifying mask. It claims to absorb environmental toxins and dissolves impurities, to me that sounds like just what my skin needs after a busy day of work and running around my children.

Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask
This is an overnight mask that is meant to plump up your skin and make it look more radiant the next day. Origin's recommend it to be used twice a week, instead of your night cream so that your skin can quench it's thirst. I think we can all do with a mask like this in winter when the heating is drying out all the moisture in our skin.

Drink Up 10 Minute Mask
Another skin hydrating mask but this time it's one you can use in just 10 minutes. This is a more traditional mask that you can use for whenever you feel like your skin feels a little bit dry and needs some more moisture. This mask has a lot of oils in its ingredients and its algae extract delivers an extra helping of hydration making it an ideal mask for this season.

I will be spending my evenings trying them all out and scaring people with my mask face!! ;-)

THE BIG CLEANSE

Thursday, 14 November 2013

Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm £21
La Roche Posay Toleriane Cleanser £11
Loreal Micellar Solution £4.99

I have to admit that I have a little bit of an obsession with cleanser, its my favourite thing to go and get when I am skincare hunting. I don't know what it is that makes me drawn to this certain aisle of the skin care shelves as its quite a basic thing to do. I suppose it's the wish for some magic cleanser that makes my skin look flawless and radiant, almost like wiping all the imperfections off with a good cleanser and a hot cloth.
My love for cleansers started when I first used Liz Earls Hot cloth cleanser, I was so amazed how much a good cleanse can improve you skin and since then I have not looked back.

One of my resent discoveries is the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleanser. Its a rich, thick balm that when you rub it in between you hands becomes an oil and works wonders in taking off your make up. Now if you like your cleansers to smell amazing and luxurious this might not be for you as it has absolutely no smell to it whatsoever but for a skin like mine its perfect as it has no alcohol or perfume in it.
I like to use this either as my second cleanse or use it twice and I guaranty you there will be no mascara left on you, it really does what it says on the tin, take the day off.

Another brilliant cleanser for spot prone skin is La Roche Posay Toleriane Cleanser. I have used quite a few bottles of this and I always like to have this in my house. It's another cleanser with not a lot of chemicals and perfume in it ( do you notice a pattern here). Its a creamy lotion that feels quite cooling and fresh when I cleanse my face which makes it good to use in summer. You will have to do a double cleanse with this cleanser ( which I do with all my cleanser, just in case I missed a bit) as it doesn't quite manage stubborn mascara hanging on for dear life but for £11 you can't go wrong with it.

And then there is the famous micellar water. I use Loreal Micellar Solution which is a very affordable make up remover that has the power to wipe away even waterproof mascara. I like to use it as my first step to loosen all the dirt and grime that has accumulated on my face over the day. Soak some cotton pats and press down onto you eye lids, leave for 30 seconds and you will be surprised what comes off. After I finish wiping some more pads over my face I will us a more cream or oil based cleanser to do my second cleanse with.

Giving yourself a good cleanse like this will leave you skin super soft and glowing.
All that is left now to do is to put your PJ's on and relax in bed! Job done!

REVIEW: LOREAL 3IN 1 PURIFYING MICELLAR SOLUTION

Thursday, 29 August 2013

Loreal says: Swiftly dissolving all traces of make up, the 'micellar' solution acts like a purifying magnet on the skin's surface to capture and draw out excess oil and impurities rather than spreading them around your face like some wipes can.

Sounds really good don't you think? As you can see I have use it for some days now and while it is an absolute great eye make up remover that removes all traces of mascara and liner, I wouldn't use it to remove my foundation with. A creamy cleanser like Liz Earls Cleanse And Polish would do a better job..
Cream cleansers are just so much better to remove heavy make up and liquid foundations especially when you use them with a warm muslin cloth to remove make up and exfoliate the skin.
The Loreal Micellar Solution feels more like water and doesn't give a thorough cleanse as other cleansers would do.
However this makes for a perfect mascara and eye make up remover, I just spritz a little on a cotton pad and press it on to my eye lids, hold it for 10 seconds and then wipe all the eye make up away.
It doesn't feel greasy nor does it hurt the eyes so in my opinion this is perfect.
Some of the You Tuber Gurus have compared it to Bioderma which I have not tried out yet but I can definitely see a comparison.
As for the claim that it unclogs pores, I can not really say anything other that it dosen't have any ingredience that would support that claim.

Have you tried the Loreal Micellar Solution, Bioderma or other similar make up removers? I would be interessted about your opinion.

SKINCARE HEROS

Tuesday, 27 August 2013

Alpha H Liquide Gold  £28
Vichy Normaderm Moisturizer £12
La Roche Posey Thermal Spring Water  £7.50

Today I want to share with you some of my favorite skincare products that have been working for me.
Over the last month I have been trying out a few more things just to see if I can get better skin with not so many spots. Ever since I had my two children I have been struggling with my skin and breakouts. I didn't really have any skin worries before and I don't really know what it is that makes me break out. Maybe its the hormones or just my skin getting more sensitive. All I hope for is that hopefully one day I can have nice skin but in the main time I have to find things that help.
One of my main skin savers has been the Alpha H Liquid Gold. I know you have probably heard of this little gem from other blogs but I just wanted to say that if you haven't tried it and struggle with breakouts have a look at it again and give it a go.
It has helped me not breaking out as much but the best thing is that when I do feel one coming on and I put this over the top it makes the pimple stop forming and heal.
I use it mainly in the night to wake up in the morning with nice fresh skin.

The next product is La Roche Posey's Thermal Spring Water.
Sometimes when you have very oily, sensitive skin and want to hydrate it its a little tricky. You can't put thick moisturizers on your skin and some of the lotion moisturizers are just not cutting it. So what I do after I wash my face in the morning and before I put my moisturizer on is to spritz a little of the thermal water on my face and let it soak in for a minute.
I find this really helps my skin to feel more moisturized during the day without putting any more oil on your face.
Last but not least I put my moisturizer on my skin.
I only just recently discovered the Vichy Normaderm moisturizer and I have to say this has really help with my breakout too. The "Magic" ingredients in it is salicylic acid and I found that products with salicylic acid
have really helped my skin with staying exfoliated and not breaking out as much. I have yet to try more  things of this line and am curious if you have. Let me know what your skincare hero's are! I am always on the hunt out for new products.
